The Krishnapuram Project is a medium irrigation project was constructed across Kushathali river, Krishnapuram (V), Karvetinagar (M), Chittoor District, 30 KMs from Nagari to irrigate 6125 acres in Karveti Nagaram (5,000 acres) and S.R.Puram(1,125 acres ) mandals in Chittoor District.
Administrative approval was accorded to take up the scheme for Rs.120 Lakhs in G.O.M.S.No.498 (M.P.D) Dated 25-06-1976.

Krishnapuram reservoir is located on ammapalli Panchayat so it is also called ammapalli dam
Most of the visitors visits krishnapuram reservoir on new year on 1st January every year a large number of people will be arrived at that day
It is also a good spot for lovers who will came there by refusing collage and schools daily we can even enjoy. That place very clearly
In the krishnapuram reservoir some fisherman will catch fishes every morning they sell the fishes near the village tumalacharuvu daily and also we can get it in dam itself it's very fresh and clean fishes we get there more than 3 to 4 types of fishes available
Very unic please to visit at morning and evening. During sun rise and sun set people who come there will enjoy even we can cook food there itself
But the reservoir is not at any maintainence no worker will be there even in day time also
But A.P government has appointed few people to guard it but no one will be there at any time only they reach the reservoir when the water will get filled that they want to release the water to river or else no one will come there to guard
